It really is extraordinary how we keep circling back to the same tired questions about transgender people, as if we haven't been having these conversations for decades. The repetitive nature of these debates suggests we're not actually listening to the answers, or perhaps some people simply don't want to hear them.

I've shared a recent video where I address this directly, speaking plainly about the reality of gender identity and the importance of understanding rather than endlessly questioning.

The medical community has long recognised that gender identity is complex and deeply personal. We have established pathways of care, research-backed treatments, and countless success stories. Yet somehow we find ourselves repeatedly justifying the basic humanity and healthcare needs of transgender individuals.

Perhaps it's time we moved beyond these circular conversations and focused on what really matters: providing compassionate, evidence-based care to people who need it. The questions aren't new, and neither are the answers. What we need now is the courage to act on what we already know to be true.
