Dr Webberley Responds - The truth always wins.
Welcome! If you have found your way here, you are probably looking for something that is hard to find right now: honest, clear, evidence-based information about transgender healthcare, written by someone who actually knows the medicine and who cares deeply about the people at the heart of it.
That is what this place is. Every week, I publish responses to the misinformation, the headlines, the policies, and the public figures who are making life harder for trans people and their families. I do it with evidence, with compassion, and with a determination that will never waver.
Why This Exists
I see what is happening to transgender people, their families, and the professionals who care for them. I see the fear, the misinformation, and the politics that are making life harder for people who already face enough. I am going to respond to it. That is my promise to you. Every single piece I publish is an act of accountability.
Gender diversity is one of the most beautiful and natural things about being human. It always has been. Right now, too many people are working hard to make you afraid of that truth, using bad science, distorted headlines, and policies built on fear rather than facts. This publication exists to take all of that apart, gently, clearly, and lovingly.
Protect - I challenge the narratives, the reviews, the media appearances, and the policies that are making healthcare less accessible for trans people right now. When a public figure spreads misinformation, I fact-check it. When a policy causes harm, I say so. When a review is used to justify restricting care, I take it apart.
Educate - When people understand the medicine, the evidence, and the lived experience, the fear falls away. I explain the things that have been misrepresented. I share the science that the headlines leave out. I make complex medical concepts accessible, because knowledge is the most powerful thing I can give you.
Empower - I want to give parents the confidence to support their children. I want to give trans people the language and knowledge to advocate for themselves. I want to give professionals the courage to provide the care they know is right. Nobody should have to navigate this alone, and nobody should be made to feel that loving and supporting a trans person is something to be afraid of.
This is not just a publication. It is a promise that someone is paying attention, someone with the knowledge and the determination to speak up, and that trans people and their families are not alone in this.
